Spring Alliance Development Program (ADP)
Designed to provide additional training opportunities for individual players (U8 thru U10) to work with Madison 56ers Coaches. Players will work on technical and tactical fundamentals in a competitive and fun environment. This program is open to all players from any club with birth years 2016, 2017 & 2018. Registration is now open for the spring 2026 ADP Program!

Elite Finishing & Goalkeeping Camp
This camp is designed for advanced players looking to elevate their skills. Our coaching staff will focus on the key techniques and tactics necessary for players to progress to a higher level of play. Additionally, goalkeepers will receive specialized training from our dedicated Goalkeeping staff.

Future Star
A four-day soccer program designed to help you significantly improve key soccer skills. This program will utilize engaging small group activities and games to provide a dynamic and effective learning environment. The intensive nature of the program allows for concentrated development over a short period.

Becoming a 56er
Trying Out for Madison 56ers
From developmental teams as young as U11, through U19, Madison 56ers has dedicated programming to address players’ needs at all levels. Our diverse coaching staff is USSF Certified and licensed, resulting in focused training sessions that improve technical and tactical ability to maximize each player’s full potential. We offer year-round training at our dedicated indoor facility, as well as goalkeeper-specific training. However far the players want to go in the sport, the Madison 56ers have a 70+ year history of developing players who compete at the highest levels, including collegiate, professional, and National Team programs.
Madison 56ers is a Premier level soccer club that promotes inclusivity and a positive team and club culture. We are seeking players who demonstrate good teamwork, dedication, and respect for their team and the game. Our teams play in a variety of leagues from local to national, depending on your age and team level.
Age Group Update
Understanding Age Group Placement
For the 2026–2027 season, Madison 56ers is returning to age groups based on an August 1–July 31 birthdate cycle. Use the calculator to find your player’s standard age group.
School grade does not always match age group. For example, a player born in July 2013 falls into U14 for 2026–2027, even if they are entering seventh grade.
Questions About Playing With Classmates?
The club generally expects August-born players to play with their school grade, subject to league rules. Limited grade exceptions may also be considered for MAYSA players on a case-by-case basis. Contact Madison 56ers to confirm the appropriate tryout group and any exception requirements.

Tryout FAQs
Do I need prior club experience to try out?
No. We welcome players from recreational backgrounds as well as other clubs, as long as they're ready for a competitive training environment.
What should my player bring to a tryout?
Cleats, shin guards, a ball if possible, and water. Weather-appropriate layers for outdoor sessions.
Can my player try out for more than one age group?
In some cases, yes — speak with our staff before tryouts if you believe your player should be evaluated at a different age level.
What if we miss the scheduled tryout date?
Contact UsContact the club directly — we do our best to accommodate makeup evaluations when space allows.
Is there a tryout fee?
Any tryout fee, if applicable, will be listed at registration. Contact us with questions about cost.
When will we hear back after tryouts?
Most families hear back within one to two weeks of their session with a team placement or development recommendation.
